Abstract

Sarah Martin, CEO of Sandy Shores Care Center, was faced with a significant direct care (i.e., CNA) staffing challenge in her skilled nursing center. She and her leadership team had to conduct an analysis of their current staffing retention practices, consider new ideas for implementation, and be mindful of a limited budget available. Sarah needed to present a report to SSCC’s Board of Directors with a plan to improve their staffing issues.
